So,
it looks like I may be securing
a roof over my head sooner than I thought!
Brooklyn here I come!
Things are looking up...
its about damn time too!

To Add to my Travails!
Who throws a shoe?
I mean really?
Wait?! I meant
Who breaks a tooth?
The answer to both those questions
is I DO!
Yesterday at work
whilst daring to whittle
a piece of unfriendly gristle
from between my teeth
with a tiny piece of tree,
I felt something much harder
and shinier than gristle emerge...
What was it you ask?
A piece of my tooth!
I am 27 years old and things
like this are supposed to happen
to grandmas and meth heads not to me!
I mean granted, I have hated milk for
most of my life, but still!!!!!
I just don't understand.
So, today, my only day off before
a weekend of doubles, I have to
call around and see if someone can put
Humpty Dumpty back together.
TWENTY-SEVEN!!!
This is just insane.
So, I am off.
If all else fails I can just get a gold cap
with my initials on it.
OR
maybe they make ones that play music
like that Rapper's Delight or The Rite of Spring!
Cross your fingers.
xoxo

When you have no shame...
Nothing embarasses you!
In a turn of events that might seem
embarrassing to some, I prevailed,
against the odds!
When I popped off of the train
and into my car I came to notice that
my gas gauge was PERILOUSLY low.
Now, if you know me, I am OBSESSED
with having enough gas in my tank.
Apparently I have been this way since
I was young, being known to pester my mother
to make sure we never were stranded on the side
of the road like characters in a John Carpenter flick.
I figured I could make it home, but upon
starting my car it faltered and failed to start.
One more try and off we went, though I was not
feeling as secure in my belief that I could make it home
on fumes and a prayer. So, I stopped at the nearest
gas station (after driving like an old lady; slow=slower burning fuel)
and proceeded to hand the very disinterested looking attendant
1 Saqajawea (?) gold coin, 3 quarters, 2 nickels, 1 dime and, yes,
a partridge in a pear tree.
He ran out after me telling me that, although I pre paid,
I would have to monitor the gas myself.
I suppose they don't have auto stop for 2 bucks worth of gas.
Yes, I have sunk this low.
I suppose with things other than bank accounts
plummet during a recession.
My self respect has also recessed, to the darkest parts
of the world. I get post cards from the Congo every now and then.
So yes, that was my misadventure for the day.
Here is to remembering to have money on you
so you don't run out of gas and have to embarass yourself in front
of strangers and God...cause he's always watching.

Welcome Friends!
Welcome my darlings both new and old.
I decided that since I will be moving to NYC
in the (very) near future that I should start
a blog that will share with you my (mis)adventures
and discoveries! Now, I have a livejournal
that many of you have been loyal readers of,
but I think I will save that for the more emo(ey)
entries I am want to write every now and again.
As for this blog I will share with you music I dig,
places to eat, jokes I hear, places to see naked chicks
and how long it takes to wait for the subway on a saturday!
I hope that everyone enjoys this new blog incarnation
and I hope that I can update it often enough to keep you all reading.
So, with that said, when something rad arises I wish share.
As for now I wish you greetings from Brooklyn where everyone is
friendly and (usually) mobbed up.
xoxo
